Through her work with the DMA UK, Lara was responsible for addressing consumer privacy and key environmental issues facing the industry. Lara worked with government, consumer groups and industry to encourage and promote responsible direct marketing practices.

After moving to the UK, Lara worked with the DMA in-house as the PR & Marketing Manager, before setting up her own consultancy and continuing a role with the DMA to deal with key social and environmental issues facing the industry.
Lara launched the consumer privacy education campaign “It’s Your Choice” to assist consumers with understanding their rights and how the direct marketing industry works.
With government pressure on the direct mail industry to set and meet tough recycling targets, Lara set up a partnership with Planet Ark and developed both a consumer and industry campaign to reduced unwanted “junk mail” and increase direct mail recycling rates to reduce landfill.
