Commencing her career in the media after University, Lara has worked as a Producer, Writer and Presenter across Radio, Press and TV, and in key publicity and communications roles with a strong focus on conservation, animal welfare and social change issues for over 20 years.

In this time, Lara has created and implemented many high profile corporate partnerships and publicity campaigns, and has been/is the Media Spokesperson / Ambassador for organisations including WWF, Planet Ark, Keep Australia Beautiful, The Orangutan Project and many others in Australia and the UK.

Early in her career, Lara’s regular TV appearances on Cheez TV, Saturday Disney and Totally Wild helped teach many children about wildlife and the environment, whilst her ongoing presenting roles, media appearances and blogs continue to inspire people to care for animals and live more sustainably.

In August 2015, Lara’s debut Ecochick Adventures documentary ‘The Trans Borneo Challenge’ aired nationally on Channel 9 and GEM to high ratings.

In addition to working on her own ‘Ecochick Adventures’ and ‘Pooches at Play’ digital and broadcast projects, Lara enjoys working with other like-minded partners on national publicity initiatives, producing and presenting TV and digital video content, and is an experienced and engaging Master of Ceremonies and Public Speaker.
